He is a member of the Delaware Bar Association, the New Jersey Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the National Crime Victim Bar Association. He has written multiple law review articles and was a previous speaker at national attorney conferences as a law student. In 2010, Thomas obtained the largest award, over $30 million, in a sexual abuse case against an individual church in U.S. history; this was one of the 10 highest verdicts in the U.S. during that time.
